Kellyanne Conway went on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show last night and accused President Joe Biden of ‘trying to buy votes with his latest student loan forgiveness stunt.

Biden’s plan would provide relief to borrowers by suspending payments on their federal student loans for two years, and then allowing them to extend their repayment period to 20 years.

The plan would also forgive up to $10,000 of debt for borrowers who are struggling to repay their loans.

Hannity: “I paid my student loans back and I didn’t even get to finish college because I ran out of money. Giving free money to people in the form of loan forgiveness is not something I quite comprehend.”

Conway responded: “Well, Sean, this is what happens when you have a president who’s trying to buy votes. He’s trying to forgive student loan debt, which by the way, he doesn’t have the authority to do.”

She continued: “He’s trying to cancel rents and mortgages. He’s trying to give a path to citizenship to 11 million illegal immigrants. He’s trying to pack the Supreme Court. This is what happens when you have a president who’s more concerned about winning reelection than he is about governing.”

Hannity concluded: “I think you make a very good point.”

“This is a very cynical, political move by Joe Biden,” Conway said. “He knows that he needs to do something to try to shore up his support among young people.”

“The fact is that, you know, I have put forward a very comprehensive plan to deal with the student loan debt,” Biden said. “It’s something that I think is doable, it’s fair, and it will make a difference in people’s lives.”

Conway also accused Biden of flip-flopping on the issue of student loan debt relief. She pointed to an interview Biden gave in August, in which he said he was “not prepared to make that offer” of debt relief.

“He’s all over the place on this,” Conway said.

Biden responded by saying that his position on the issue has been “consistent from the beginning.”

“I have consistently said that we should relieve the burden of student debt on people,” Biden said. “But I also said, consistent from the beginning, that I don’t think it’s fair to just write it off.”

Conway also accused Biden of pandering to liberal voters with his plan.

“He’s trying to pander to the Bernie Sanders wing of the Democratic Party,” Conway said. “He knows that he needs to do something to try to shore up his support among young people.”

Biden responded by saying that he is running a “broad-based campaign” and that he is not pandering to any one group.

“I’m not pandering to anybody,” Biden said. “I’m running a broad-based campaign.”

Conway also accused Biden of being a “hypocrite” for not supporting debt relief for people who have private student loans.

“He’s a hypocrite because he has private student loans,” Conway said. “He knows that there are millions of Americans who are struggling with private student loans.”

It remains unclear the exact effect this policy will have on the American populace, but one thing is clear — Joe Biden is using government handouts to buy American votes.
