A new CNBC bombshell about CNN prime time anchor Chris Cuomo was just published and it reveals shocking details about the depths that the CNN anchor went to in attempts of protecting his brother.
According to this report, Chris Cuomo used his influence and connections in the media to help his brother, The former governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo who was forced to resign in disgrace to find information on his accusers.
Documents published in this report reveal that Chris Cuomo was “actively in touch” with Andrew Cuomo’s top aide at the time, Melissa DeRosa. The younger Cuomo gave DeRosa statements that were further used by his older brother in press conferences along with leads on his various accusers.
According to this report, “Chris Cuomo told investigators that he engaged with what he described as ‘sources’ regarding the various allegations against his brother that were described in at least one news article, according to the records. He also said he talked to his sources about yet-to-be-published stories from media outlets.”
“I would – when asked, I would reach out to sources, other journalists, to see if they had heard of anybody else coming out,” the junior Cuomo told investigators.
In a previous report, it was revealed that Chris used to help his brother with the coverup and draft statements for his official press conferences. On March 12, he sent a text message to DeRosa with the full written statement for then the NY Governor.
“I will not resign, I cannot resign. I understand the political pressure I understand the stakes of political warfare, and that’s what this is … And I understand the conformity that can be forced by cancel culture,” the texted statement read.
According to the report, “In March, DeRosa texted Chris Cuomo: “Rumor going around from politico 1-2 more ppl coming out tomorrow. Can u check your sources?” The CNN primetime host responded: “On it.” He subsequently texted her: “No one has heard that yet.”
“DeRosa and Chris Cuomo also discussed in March a yet-to-be published story from New Yorker investigative reporter Ronan Farrow. The article ran March 18.”
Andrew Cuomo had to later resign in disgrace when the New York attorney general investigation proved that he had sexually assaulted many women including government employees.
Andrew Cuomo hasn’t been charged yet and there are various speculations that there are ongoing criminal charges being discussed.
