“I recently had COVID, therefore I don’t have it, so why would I receive the vaccine?” According to a call tape acquired by Fox News Digital, Connors answered. According to Connors, the hospital refused to budge. “You may have had delta, and that may not have protected you against the omicron variety, which is what we’re seeing today,” Dr. Warburton said in the Jan. 6 tape. “So, our policy is that in order to be on the transplant list and receive a transplant, you must be completely immunized.”

Connors disclosed to Fox News Digital that he has Stage 5 focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), a rare and severe disease, but that he is currently “at clearing,” or managing to keep his scarred and irreversibly damaged kidney function. The illness, however, is lethal because there is no therapy. He will not be eligible for a transplant, however, until he is placed on the waiting list. “So you’re on the list; you’re just not doing anything right now until we tie up all the loose ends. So, in order to be on the list, you must first get vaccinated.” Dr. Warburton forewarned Connors over the phone.

“Are you willing to do it?” she questioned over the phone after a little pause. Dr. Warburton continued, “OK, so you don’t want to move forward?” when Connors did not react. Connors said, “I’d rather die of renal failure.” According to the audio, Dr. Warburton then gave Connors two options: remain inactive on the transplant list and hope for a miracle or close out the assessment and live with his failing kidney, to which Connors replied that he would remain inactive on the list. Connors states, “I was technically on the transplant list for three years.” “I was inactive on the transplant list until I got dialysis, and then I became active — two years ago.”

“I’m not going to let this get to me. I’m going to fight this “Connors explained to Fox News Digital. Connors stated that he has been offered a kidney by several people, some of whom are strangers, but he refuses to accept a donation until the current vaccine mandate on transplants is lifted, telling Fox News Digital that he will not be forced to take the vaccine against his will, even if it means risking his life. When Connors learned he was no longer on the active list, he assured his wife, “God’s going to take this and use it for good.”
