Infuriated activists tear down an event that featured the previous House Speaker from California, Nancy Pelosi, as they mocked her with labels like “sad old drunk” and “war criminal.”
The City University of New York’s Graduate Center was hosting the economist Paul Krugman and Nancy Pelosi as a video got viral over social platforms showing the former House Speaker getting verbally accosted.
A protester stated:
“You know Pelosi, that’s a very good place for you, in the depths of hell.”
A protester, being dragged out of the building, called Pelosi a “war criminal.”
He added:
“For some reason, you have a very bad obsession of getting us into war. Hey, why is it that you did not admit that there were no WMDs in Iraq? You lied us into a war in Iraq. You got us to invade Afghanistan. Now over 90 percent of those people are impoverished and are dying. Why don’t you tell the truth about Nordstream?”
Another activist was also seen shouting at the California representative as he said:
“Hey congresswoman, I came to see a warmonger but you’re a sad old drunk! What happened? When you went to Taiwan, were you looking for Ukraine? Did we blow up the Nordstream on accident or on purpose?”
Pelosi was one of those who tweeted against Donald Trump after he got indicted by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.
While talking about Trump’s indictment, Pelosi stated:
“The Grand Jury has acted upon the facts and the law. No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence. Hopefully, the former President will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right.”
