Butler Township Commissioner: Cheatle ‘Lying or Covering their Own Backsides’

It is more than a week since the recent assassination attempt against President Donald Trump, at least seven days when the tyrannical regime’s FBI started their investigation which led only to more questions instead of working to “get to the bottom of things.”

The Secret Service, who claims they would cooperate with the probe, failed to bring answers and only kept everyone in the dark as more information emerged.

Kimberly Cheatle, the Secret Service director, claimed the “buck stops with her” yet blamed the local authorities for the security lapses during President Trump’s rally at Butler, Pennsylvania.

Instead of taking full responsibility for the incident, Cheatle accuse the local authorities of failing to secure and sweep the roof where Thomas Crooks opened fire at Trump.

However, Butler’s Pennsylvania Township Commissioner would not allow such misinformation to spread quietly, as he pushed back against the narrative that the Department of Homeland Security and Secret Service wanted to prevail.

Commissioner Edward Natali, in an interview with Fox and Friends, explained accurately their task during the rally.

Natali did not mince his words and asserted that it was “completely unacceptable” that the local police are taking the blame for the Security Service’s blatant security failure.

“I kept seeing the narrative coming out in the media that it’s local police and local police hyphenated, and I said, ‘That’s just completely unacceptable,'” Natali said on Thursday.

“The Butler Township Police Department is an honorable department, works hard,” he added.

The commissioner emphasized that their detail was specific to “traffic detail only.”

“There was no security, no protection detail whatsoever. We had seven officers deployed, and that’s one-third of our total force, and that was again to control traffic.”

Natali lamented, “Several thousand cars coming into the area, it’s very important.”

“Plus also to be there for emergency situations… not someone getting shot… but just… heat and everything.”

Local authorities also asserted that as soon as they were alerted about the “suspicious male,” officers stationed outside the event were tasked to assist in looking out for the gunman.

“Upon Former President Trump’s arrival, a call went out for a suspicious male near the AGR building and several officers broke free from their traffic intersections of responsibility and responded to the area to aid in the search,” Butler Township Manager Tom Knights clarified earlier.

Lawrence Jones asked Commissioner Natali, “Was it your guys’ job to secure that building where the shooter was on the top of the roof?”

“Absolutely not,” he answered firmly.

Natali added that the officer who confronted Crooks was “hoisted” up by another officer and eventually lost balance when the suspect aimed at him.

“The officer was not climbing a ladder. He was actually being hoisted by [a] fellow officer to get a view up onto the roof as he was being hoisted up, and he was holding on to the edge of the roof to try to get his head up over the edge of the roof so he could see what was going on.”

“Then, the suspect turned his rifle on the officer, and of course, he’s not in a position to protect himself. He’s not in a position to wield his weapon. … Obviously in that condition… he couldn’t protect himself … he couldn’t engage him. So he ended up trying to get his weapon, but he fell backward and was injured.”
