His only “crime” on the January 6 demonstration was picking up the garbage on the Capitol floors, stopping the theft of government property, requesting people to leave the building, and approaching Capitol police to ask how he could help.
Chris Kuehne was a decorated Marine veteran. He received numerous medals and awards, including the Purple Heart Award and a Navy Commendation Medal with Valor for his service, among others.

Chris, a patriot, sacrificed his life for the country. And he served well. But all his efforts will only be paid off with a midnight raid by police officers, traumatizing his four-year-old son and his pregnant wife, who eventually suffered a miscarriage.
Annette Kuehne retold the events that occurred that day, with the FBI pointing semi-automatic rifles against her and their son, three large armored trucks parked outside of their house.
“The FBI instructed Chris to come outside immediately. Our 4-year-old was awakened from the chaos, and I picked him up and ran downstairs to open the front door. Our house, street and neighboring streets were completely surrounded by armed FBI and law enforcement. It was a scene that we see so many times in the movies, but now it was here at my house! There were three large armored tactical vehicles parked on my front, side and back yard, and police vehicles that extended throughout the entire community. I open the door, and for a second, I didn’t realize that there were about twenty FBI SWAT Team members with semi-automatic rifles pointed at my son and I. We were covered by the bright red lasers pointed at our faces, chests, and various points on our bodies.”
The Kuehnes submitted a video to Gateway Pundit, showing Annette carrying their son, while he called for his daddy.
Police authorities forced Chris’ wife outside their Kansas home barefoot as FBI officers searched through their home and arrested the Marine veteran whom they accused of inciting insurrection.
“There is a bite in the air, snow still on the ground, our 4-year-old is crying and with guns drawn FBI SWAT storm through as I carried my son barefoot in the cold. Hours later, after the FBI left our home, I found myself on the phone calling anyone I could think of for help. Neighbors contacted me to ask if I needed anything, as I was in shock from what just happened. I didn’t realize what else was happening, as if this isn’t enough,” Annette shared.
The following day, Chris’ wife went to the hospital for a check-up as she was bleeding.
“While in the doctor’s office, a nurse comes into the room and tells me that I need to have emergency surgery or I will bleed to death. She then escorts me to the emergency department,” Annette wrote.
“I lost the baby.”
Chris was later released that day after the raid, as his case was transferred to Washington, DC. The federal government accused him of Conspiracy; Obstruction of an Official Proceeding and Aiding and Abetting; Obstruction of Law Enforcement During Civil Disorder and Aiding and Abetting; Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds and Carrying a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon; Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds and Carrying a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon.
Annette shared that her husband retired early after his injury “in Ramadi, Iraq when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded just feet away throwing him in the air and then thrusting him to the ground. Consequently, Chris has had numerous back surgeries and surgeries relating to his injuries. He also suffers from chronic PTSD, TBI (often described/referred/or known as the ‘invisible wounds’), and a host of other medical illnesses, injuries, and conditions.”
A video during the demonstration recorded Chris picking up trash. He was not armed, nor did he provoke the police.
The Marine veteran emphasized that he was not a member of Proud Boys, and an investigation of Gateway Pundit proved he is not, although he is friendly with some of the members of the organization.
Furthermore, whistleblower James Ehren Knowles attested that Kuehne, along with members of Proud Boys did not commit any crime, but were set up by the FBI to terrorize and instill a culture of fear among the public.
Knowles shared troves of documents and communications to prove their innocence.
Chris and his family appealed for financial support amid the legal battles the veteran had to endure. The couple also called for everyone to continue praying for them, as this continues to strengthen them amid the lawfare they face.

Makes me angry. Our justice (and I call them that with tongue in cheek) system is out of hand. They no longer investigate, they react. What happened to innocent until proven guilty. Oh wait, that’s only for Demoncrats.
Sad isn’t it !!!
It’s more than sad! This administration has destroyed this nation in the quest for power! Why would this moron that runs the DOJ spend thousand and thousands of taxpayer dollars to bring three armored vehicles, dozens of officers and point weapons at a pregnant woman and a four year old child, all to pick up one disabled veteran? They could have picked him up with one officer in one car! Disgusting and pathetic!
