Republican lawmakers are demanding all communications between the Biden administration and Hunter Biden’s attorneys regarding Hunter’s evasion of the scheduled deposition which was part of their impeachment proceedings.
House Oversight and Judiciary committees sent a letter of request to Edward Siskel, assistant to the president and White House Counsel. Representatives James Comer (R-Ky) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), said they were determining Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s decision to defy the congressional subpoena.
In the letter, the House Oversight Committee and Judiciary Committee are seeking “all documents and communications sent or received by employees of the Executive Office of the President regarding the deposition of Hunter Biden.”
They also ask for “any records sent or received by employees of the Executive Office of the President regarding President Biden’s statement about his family’s business associates on December 6, 2023.”
“In light of an official statement from the White House that President Biden was aware in advance that his son, Hunter Biden, would knowingly defy two congressional subpoenas, we are compelled to examine as part of our impeachment inquiry whether the President engaged in a conspiracy to obstruct a proceeding of Congress,” wrote the two GOP lawmakers.
The two committee chairmen specifically point to the statement made by Joe Biden’s representative regarding Hunter Biden’s statement on the day he was scheduled to attend a closed-door deposition.
The president’s son opted to speak to reporters in a conference outside of the capitol, instead of participating in the deposition. He also insisted again that he would only testify through a public hearing.
Reading a prepared speech, Hunter Biden said, “I’m here today to make sure that the House committee’s illegitimate investigations of my family did not proceed on distortions, manipulated evidence, and lies. And I’m here today to acknowledge that I’ve made mistakes in my life, and wasted opportunities and privileges I was afforded.”
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded to a question: “Did [Joe Biden] spend any time watching his son had to say outside the Capitol?”
Jean-Pierre answered, “The president was certainly familiar with what his son was going to say.”
The Republican lawmakers then initiated contempt of Congress proceedings against the controversy-stricken Biden.
Last week, the GOP representatives also released records showing that Joe Biden has exchanged emails with his son’s business partners 54 times. He served as vice president during that time.
The president’s son is currently facing nine tax-related charges, including three felony counts. He was also indicted with federal charges as he was caught possessing a gun while using narcotics.

Both bidens and family are nothing but crocks and liars the have betrayed the U.S.A THEY NEED TO BE LOCKED UP
Biden did everything to hurt President Trump so think it’s time he is brought down. I believe Kamala Harris is also quity of the things Biden did too.I believe they both should be put in jail. She doesn’t know how to run the office of the Vice president or the office of the president. So get rid of her too. Let’s clean house and start off new..It’s a New year so let’s get a new start .Without Biden and Harris.
