Breitbart News has thrown its hat into the ring of entertainment and did it with style. Their first scripted movie, “My Son Hunter,” is now available.
Is it worth spending the money?
Yes and no. Yes, because you help by showing the market that there is an audience for it, and it encourages more movies like it. It also gets woke leftists upset as a bonus. No, because if you are from an older generation, ask your kids or grandkids on how to watch it for free. On a serious note, the movie has flaws; however, the flaws could be considered nitpicking.
To the film’s credit, it doesn’t mock Hunter for his drug addiction. They don’t sugarcoat the family’s problems either. The problem with the film is that it didn’t know if it wanted to be satire or serious. It took notes from “Game of Thrones” by doing scenes that might make some uncomfortable if watching with the kids or with your parents. A few times, the film does the annoying Shyamalan close-ups, as in so close you can see the actor breathing onto the camera lens. The movie is good but not a “popcorn” movie good. However, the film is a good starting point for Breitbart News if they decide to make more movies.
“My Son Hunter” is directed by Robert Davi; he starred in “The Goonies” as a counterfeiter and acted as an FBI agent in “Die Hard.” He decided it was time to get the story surrounding Hunter out into public view.
Robert Davi was on the “Just the News, Not Noise” television show, saying he was frustrated watching Hunter’s story unfold while the American people were not getting a chance to hear it.
Davi said, “My feeling was it has to be told — I don’t care if I get canceled.”
Robert Davi also stated on Newsmax that Hunter’s lawyers came to his set in Serbia.
“They came to the set, I think, and what was interesting, Chris is that a month before and we filmed the movie in Serbia. A month before, Hunter Biden was at the same hotel we were at in Serbia filming and then while we’re shooting, these gentlemen take a private jet telling us they’re doing a documentary, and I guess to set it up through the producers. I wasn’t involved in that negotiation, and they came on the set and wanted to question people and interview people, and we find out later on that it was part of the team that helped Hunter Biden with a two million dollar tax bill.”
Davi is then asked about the secret screening of the film. Hollywood conservatives and conservative insiders came to watch, but they had to keep the viewing of the film secretive. Chris Salcedo points out the hypocrisy and brings up the hit pieces on Reagan, Bush, and Trump. That left-wing insiders didn’t have to hide their identities. Salcedo asks a good question regarding Hollywood’s absence of a conservative perspective.
Davi responds:
“I think there is a myopic vision in Hollywood that’s speaking to a certain cultural marxist agenda and this has been going on since the 50s. When they were infiltrated the heads of the studios, the readers, the agencies and they would pick certain projects that promoted the agenda they wanted and put some of them aside. At that time in Hollywood you had an amazing amount of people who were conservatives, not just marxists, and they had a lot of power, so films were made.”
As predicted, the left is furious. The movie doesn’t even have a rating from movie critics on Rotten Tomatoes but as of today September 24, 2022, it does have a 92% approval rating from the audience.
Granted, we should take these scores with a grain of salt. Audience scores also thought the Disney live-action remakes such as “The Beauty and the Beast” and “The Jungle Book” were good. Sorry audience, but it’s your fault we keep getting these terrible remakes. Thankfully it seems that the audience is finally learning from its mistakes with the recent “Pinocchio.” It also appears that conservatives are starting to learn too.
As Davi said, conservatives need to “learn how to message,” and they are learning. The Democrats are masters when it comes to messaging; it is time that Republicans become masters themselves.

I watched it , also read the laptop texts , told evey one to watch it ,
