Leftie Jimmy Kimmel Hints Departure from Show: “I Think This is My Final Contract”

Rabid anti-Trump host Jimmy Kimmel hints that his late-night show is approaching its end as he shared that his contract will expire in 2025.

“That seems like enough,” says Kimmel in an article by the Los Angeles Times, published on Tuesday.

Early in the interview, he said, “I think this is my final contract.”

“I hate to even say it because everyone’s laughing at me now — each time I think that, and then it turns out to be not the case. I still have a little more than two years left on my contract, and that seems pretty good.”

Just before the writer’s strike, Kimmel expressed that he had thought about retiring, however, he wasn’t ready to unburden the Americans yet, with all his monologues.

He then expressed how staying up at night writing his scripts had been exhausting (even though his wife co-writes with him too).

“Wednesday night, I was very tired and I had all these scripts to go through; I had to revise and rewrite all these pitch ideas for the Oscars, and I was literally nodding off onto my computer. In those moments, I think, ‘I cannot wait until my contract is over,’ but then I take the summer off or I go on strike, and you start going, ‘Yeah, I miss the fun stuff’.”

The Trump-hating host has long been attacking Trump in his spiels. Just last month, Kimmel fantasized about the former president’s death and criticized MAGA supporters.

“Let me tell you something — if those three judges he appointed to the Supreme Court take this case and rule against him, he is going to blow a whale-sized windmill out of his ass. I mean, it might actually kill him,” says the host.

“Sometimes I wonder, once Trump is dead and gone and buried on the 18th hole of one of his golf courses, will things get better? Or will we have a whole new crop of MAGA brains to deal with?”

Worse, the rabid liberal host even joked about the funeral of former first lady Melania Trump’s mother.

However, not everyone enjoys his regular bashing of Trump, who has been leading the surveys since last year.

His unrelenting GOP rants resulted in the plummeting of his ratings, which he admitted during an interview with the podcast Naked Lunch.

Kimmel remarked, “I have lost half of my fans — maybe more than that,” he said.

“I just said, if that’s what you want to do, I understand and I don’t begrudge you for it, but I’m not going to do that. So if you want somebody else to host the show, then that’s fine. That’s OK with me. I’m just not going to do it like that.”
