Microsoft Dismisses DEI Team; Leader Complains

When even the culture war shifts in favor of common sense, we know we are winning. Woke propaganda sh*t had only led the country into further division, where people are divided based on gender preferences, racial classes, and other DEI propaganda instead of working together in cohesion and unity to advance the country.

The push to promote DEI crap in the workplace and other institutions surged after the murder of George Floyd, an incident in which several inequities were used to sensationalize and justify claims of so-called racism. The agenda is supposedly to advance opportunities in the workplace for people of diverse backgrounds. However, for years now, this was not the case anymore.

Instead of raising profits, companies experienced backlash, and consumers argued that it became too “woke.”

Microsoft recently hopped off the DEI boat and just quietly dismissed an entire department focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The leader of the team complained in an internal email sent to thousands of employees, “True systems-change work associated with DEI programs everywhere are no longer business critical or smart as they were in 2020.”

The email added that the team was laid off because of “changing business needs.”

But it was not only Microsoft. Several tech companies, including Google, Meta, and Zoom, walked back on their DEI commitments.

Meanwhile, the company spokesperson, Jeff Jones, asserts: “Our D&I commitment remains unchanged.”

“Our focus on diversity and inclusion is unwavering and we are holding firm on our expectations, prioritizing accountability, and continuing to focus on this work.”

Just months before the tech giant axed its DEI team, the company was in hot waters as its DEI goals received backlash in February.

After Microsoft unveiled its 2023 Global Diversity and Inclusion report, one X user claimed that the company was paying their white employees less than their counterparts in the name of “pay equity.”

Early this month, Tractor Supply also walked back on its DEI initiatives after consumers scrutinized the company for focusing on “woke priorities,” such as putting up a DEI council, advocating for climate change, joining pride events, and implementing pride campaigns.

In response, Tractor Supply wrote on X, “We work hard to live up to our Mission and Values every day and represent the values of the communities and customers we serve.”

DEI continues to lose traction in corporate America as more and more companies cut off DEI teams through retrenchments. According to data from Revelio Labs, DEI jobs went down by 5 percent in 2023 and even plummeted to 8 percent in 2024.
