The main stream media has been taking a lot of hits lately. Its partisan promulgation of misinformation combined with its otherworldly levels of stubbornness and refusal to adapt or change seem to be major contributors to its downfall.
This goes for all networks and for all ideological leanings. Though, one has to admit that this would seem to actually exclude Fox News, who have been enjoying record viewership for some time. Now, it seems that the grim butcher’s bill for this reputational damage has landed on the doorstep of one of the leading bastions of misinformation, MSNBC.
It looks like liberal Chuck Todd’s “Meet The Press Daily” are being moved by MSNBC to a streaming-only option. There is also a little slap in the face for Mr. Todd, as the name of the show has been changed to “Meet The Press Now”.
It was reported:
Todd closed out the final show by saying: “I want to take a moment to remind people of our mission here: to share with you what you need to know about what’s happening in Washington and in American politics, and most importantly, explaining why it happened, and why it matters to you. I’ve always been a big believer in finding new ways to reach new audiences.
So we know where you are. And putting Meet the Press on NBC News NOW, five days a week, is at the forefront of where we want to be in streaming news. It was a no-brainer. We know you are here because you’re simply looking for smart, honest news and analysis. That’s all. Which has been, and always will be the driving force behind Meet the Press.”
NBC News president Noah Oppenheim said in a statement: “NBC News is the leader in streaming news. Since our launch, we’ve been committed to delivering the best of NBC News’ journalism, free, to streaming audiences everywhere.”
“Chuck was one of the first broadcast anchors to see the massive potential of streaming and bringing Meet the Press’s daily franchise to NBC News NOW reinforces the platform’s status as the destination for news on streaming,” Oppenheim added.
“His enthusiasm about growing ‘Meet the Press’ beyond the Sunday show and evolving the legacy program for the streaming audience is a prime example of our mission at News NOW: to bring viewers the best of what NBC News has to offer,” Janelle Rodriguez, senior vice president of editorial for NBC News, said in a memo to staff.
The far-left network is currently facing a slew of serious issues.

Rachel Maddow announced that she will go to a weekly schedule, hosting MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show solely on Monday nights starting in May.
Rotating hosts will fill in the rest of the week, and there are no immediate plans for a replacement host at this time, according to a network spokesperson.
“This might change….We will see how things go, but that is the plan as of now,” Maddow said on her show on Monday, when she returned from a two month hiatus to work on special projects, including a film version of her Bag Man podcast and book.
Ever since she signed a new deal with MSNBC and NBCUniversal last year, there have been reports that she planned to scale back her schedule. She has hosted the show since 2008 and has been MSNBC’s top-rated personality, but reportedly has been wanting to move away from the rigors of the weeknight schedule. Yet as she has been absent, the viewership for that hour has fallen compared to the same period last year.
Since then, the ratings are abysmal.
So, it seems that the proverbial chickens might be starting to come home to roost, as the saying goes, the networks as well as its slew of partisan ideologues. Meanwhile, Conservative-leaning hosts, such as Tucker Carlson, Jesse Watters, and, of course, Sean Hannity are all enjoying records viewership numbers.
If the hard numbers matter to anyone, that would seem to be a very good indicator that Conservative sentiment in this country is enjoying a meteoric rise. In the age of cancel culture and woke-ism, it is hardly a wonder why. This is some bright news in an otherwise fairly dreary and dark political and culture climate.

Chuck we don’t expect honest reporting from you. Why would you change now. You are one sided and it shows.. Maddow is the same way. Maybe you need to come over to the American side.
When they said it was a no brainer they picked the right guy.
Chris Jansing was local for us in the Albany, NY area when she took on this job. We all loved her. Hopefully she will bring some class to CNN.

NBC was always my go to news, but lately they are not reporting what is actually happening. They are skirting the issues at hand and not reporting what is actually going on.
How did the streaming news show with CNN workout. It didn’t. Trump kicking is old and we need honest reporting on how this current administration is failing us. Trump’s campaign will live or die based on the shape of America at election time.mevis@aol.com

Chuck Todd is a start but when will management shut down Good Morning Joe’s propaganda dished out by the host and his wife. So hard to watch them focus only on Trump. What happened to just reporting the news. CNN is waking up but NBC and especially MSNBC so out of touch.

Chuck Todd did nothing but spew hate & personal opinion during the Trump years. Never an unbiased news reporter. Seems that the bias, lying twisted news shows are falling into the gutter.

I am proud to be a republican. I pray that the news channels and the media will wake-up and report everything that is going on. Some people are absolutely clueless.
Many years ago I used to actually watch NBC and thought they did a good job of reporting. However NBC and its offshoots stopped being news organizations many decades ago and started shilling for the Left. Their audience for the past several decades has consisted mostly of committed hard radical Liberals who ignored their selective reporting and partisanship. Unfortunately, for them there are only so many stupid people out there who were willing to keep ignoring the crappy job they were doing at actual factual reporting.
