A top official of the National Border Patrol Council union roasts Harris for her blatant incompetence and neglect of the border.
Jon Anfinsen, National Border Patrol Council Union Vice President, denounced Harris and said that the Democratic presumptive nominee has never met with anyone in the union despite her direct role of managing the border.
In 2021, despite Google’s recent effort to scrub this information, Harris was appointed as ‘border czar’ to oversee the crisis at the southern border.
According to Anfinsen, he believes the Vice President is indeed tasked to manage the border and has not consulted anyone in the union.
“We have never had any contact with her,” Anfinsen said when host Dana Perino of “America’s Newsroom” probed about any interaction with Harris.
“None of us. As she made her one trip to the border in El Paso a couple of years ago, a few years ago, I’m sure she met with some agents there,” the border patrol union leader commented.
“None of us in our organization, never.”
“If the White House had literally just done nothing when Joe Biden’s administration began, left in place the Trump policies, we wouldn’t be sitting here,” Anfinsen said.
“But instead, as you said, they ended a bunch of policies, some executive orders, and then they basically opened the door for the world to show up at the southwest border to enter illegally and to abuse the asylum system.”
“Basically, the entire agency’s been demoralized because the administration has shown that they just don’t care about the border patrol and its mission,” he furthered.
“Because if they did, they wouldn’t be doing what they’ve been doing the past few years. So it’s rough. We’re having retention issues; we’re having recruitment issues. Because, for some people, they figure why do they want to deal with the mess that they’ve been seeing? So it’s been really challenging the past few years.”
Under the Biden-Harris regime, the illegal crossings reached record highs, with at least 250,000 crossing in December last year.
Meanwhile, Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, was interviewed by “Faulkner Focus” on Monday and criticized the media for covering up and downplaying Harris’ responsibility.
“Everyone has seen that videotape where President Biden clearly assigned to Kamala Harris the responsibility to take care of the border.”
“Regardless of whatever title they have, the president and the vice president have a primary duty. Their sacred duty is to protect the United States of America from terrorists,” said Abbott.
