Recently, The Intercept obtained new documents that contain over 900 pages of material detailing the ties of Fauci with a group called EcoHealth Alliance that received a grant titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence.”
These documents raise additional questions about the coronavirus and the involvement of the Wuhan Lab in China. This idea was strongly dismissed by Dr. Fauci and Peter Daszak, president of EcoHealth Alliance. Many mainstream media outlets repeated these claims and called everyone who questioned the accuracy of this claim a “racist” and many other similar names.
The $3.1M grant given to EcoHealth Alliance included “$599,000 that the Wuhan Institute of Virology used in part to identify and alter bat coronaviruses likely to infect humans.” According to the Intercept
“Even before the pandemic, many scientists were concerned about the potential dangers associated with such experiments. The grant proposal acknowledges some of those dangers: “Fieldwork involves the highest risk of exposure to SARS or other CoVs while working in caves with high bat density overhead and the potential for fecal dust to be inhaled.”
Alina Chan, a molecular biologist at the Broad Institute, said the documents show that EcoHealth Alliance has reason to take the lab-leak theory seriously. “In this proposal, they actually point out that they know how risky this work is. They keep talking about people potentially getting bitten — and they kept records of everyone who got bitten,” Chan said. “Does EcoHealth have those records? And if not, how can they possibly rule out a research-related accident?”
Fauci has repeatedly denied NIH’s involvement to fund this gain-of-function research and has attacked anyone who questioned this.
One of the most prominent Republicans to spar with Fauci over this is Kentucky Republican Senator Dr. Rand Paul. Senator Paul has criticized Fauci for flip-flopping several times on his public stances and funding of this gain-of-function research that Fauci has repeatedly denied.
These Intercept papers reveal that Fauci has lied to Congress under oath several times and Senator Paul pointed this out in his recent tweet citing the Intercept report
What do you think of this report that proves Fauci’s lying under oath? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
