The long wait is over.
President Donald Trump is fully aware of the burden of leading a nation and knows he needs a partner capable of helping carry America forward.
Days before he debated kid-sniffer Joe Biden, Trump said he had already picked a running mate, but nobody knew about it yet.
Hours before a merciless assassin fired upon him on Saturday, as he boarded his plane from Florida, the recently confirmed Republican presidential nominee told Fox News’s Harris Faulkner, “It’s a very important position, especially if something bad should happen – that’s the most important.”

Trump, who was wounded after a killing attempt, attended the Republican National Convention on Monday to prove that no amount of violence can defeat the determination of the American people to make America great again. During the event, he posted on his Truth Social that “after careful deliberation,” he chose Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio) to be in his VP ticket.
“After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio. J.D. honorably served our Country in the Marine Corps, graduated from Ohio State University in two years, Summa Cum Laude, and is a Yale Law School Graduate, where he was Editor of The Yale Law Journal, and President of the Yale Law Veterans Association. J.D.’s book, “Hillbilly Elegy,” became a Major Best Seller and Movie, as it championed the hardworking men and women of our Country. J.D. has had a very successful business career in Technology and Finance, and now, during the Campaign, will be strongly focused on the people he fought so brilliantly for, the American Workers and Farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, and far beyond….” Trump wrote.
For many, JD Vance was a breath of fresh air, someone who would further boost Trump’s election efforts as he is the first millennial to join the vice-presidential race.
Vance and Trump had differences in the past, but the two political icons moved on from that, with the senator admitting his shortcomings, even deleting earlier tweets critical of the former president.
Instead, he fully embraced MAGA, passionately fought for the American people, blasted Biden’s failed immigration policies, and stood for election integrity.
Some observers also noted that Trump’s selection of Vance wasn’t only for the presidential election.
Placing the senator in his VP ticket could aid the Republicans in gaining control of the upper chamber of Congress as Ohio’s other senate seat is up for grabs, which is now held by a Democrat.
Vance, along with others, was actively involved in Trump’s reelection efforts. He played a significant role in raising support for the MAGA leader from Silicon Valley moguls. The Ohio senator also participated in fundraising activities in Ohio and California.
The senator’s blue-collar upbringing influenced his perspective. He was a military veteran who had served in Iraq. He then pursued a degree in political science and philosophy at Ohio State University and Yale Law School.
While Vance had not made any hint before Trump’s announcement that he would run as vice president, he also expressed readiness to run alongside the former president if asked.
During the first day of the RNC Convention, Trump entered the venue with a bandage on his ear, but his stance proved his resilience despite the attempted assassination, as he vowed to be “defiant in the face of wickedness.”
He quipped in an interview with the New York Post while on his plane to Milwaukee, “I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead.”
The former president also sustained a large bruise on his forearm from where Secret Service agents held him.
Vance, who was 39 years old, has proved to be a thorn against the Democratic Party’s presumptive vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Well, even if it wasn’t JD Vance, other prospective candidates for the VP ticket from the conservatives outstand the Democratic Party’s useless potato-brained Cackling Kamala.

to be honest….i am not a fan of this choice….i/m/o vance doesn’t have enough political experience to navigate the dc swamp or the national scene……or should the need arise, to steer presidents xi and putin…….I love Trump and wish him well and pray that his vp choice works out for him…!
I also was confused, with his choice but I do trust president trump 💯%. I know that if he picked Vance, he must see on him something that I can’t still grasp. I know that DT Jr liked Vance too. After 2016 Vance’s comments i felt a total disgust x him. How could he not get Trump if all of us (common people) got him right away? I attended 3 rallies from elections 2016/2020 and I felt Trump’s energy, his fantastic strength + beliefs, and the immense love that he had for our country. P Trump only wants the best for America and x WTP. I know that he will work as hard or more this term as democrats are leaving this country in ruins. Plus our country has 10 million plus illegals. Also millions on TPS and under asylum. Most of the older people with TPS ARE receiving Social Security without even being citizens. What a mess! I pray that Trump/Vance are able to unite our country (miracle) but we can’t descend to Democrat’s level. Trump/Vance 2024
