The FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-A-Lago home has given him a huge boost in fundraising.
According to his son Eric Trump, they are shattering fundraising records as supporters make donations to show their support after the event.
Eric took to social media and said, “Breaking: DonaldJTrump.com is shattering all fundraising records and I’m told has raised more money in the past 24 hours than ever before in recent history!”
The FBI raid on Trump’s home was unprecedented and Trump described it as “prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024.”
Many Trump supporters believe that the raid was done in an effort to prevent him from running for president in 2024.
In a quote from the New York Times, shared on Jesse Watters’ shows it was revealed that Biden sees Trump as a threat.
“Mr. Biden confided to his inner circle that he believed former President Donald J. Trump was a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted.
Watters said the raid was a replay of the Mueller investigation.
Trump said he had been in cooperation with the FBI and the National Archives over the transporting of the classified documents he had.
The New York Post reported:
FBI agents were reportedly searching for classified documents that Trump allegedly brought with him from the White House to Mar-a-Lago after his presidency ended — which, if true, could be a violation of federal law.
The National Archives and Records Administration said it had found classified material in 15 boxes at the residence earlier this year and alerted the FBI. The agents executed a search warrant Monday to look for additional presidential records Trump may have relocated to his Florida estate.
“Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
If Trump is convicted of a crime related to the removal, concealment, or destruction of classified or other government material, his opponents may try and move to prevent him from holding office. They cite federal law which states anyone who “unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys” such records shall face a fine, imprisonment “and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States.”
Eric Trump said, “The purpose of the raid was, from what they said, was because the National Archives wanted to corroborate whether or not Donald Trump had any documents in his possession,” the former president’s son told Fox News.
“And my father has worked so collaboratively with them for months. In fact, the lawyer that’s been working on this was totally shocked. He goes, ‘I have such an amazing relationship with these people and all of a sudden, on no notice, they send 20 cars and 30 agents?'”
Donald Trump may take legal action after the raid on his home.
