Texas AG Slams White House, Biden Feeding Drug Cartels in Lack of Border Security

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton slams Biden for failing to address the overwhelming surge of migrants at the southern border in December.

Paxton remarked that with the worsening border crisis, the Department of Justice and the Biden administration are “aiding and abetting the cartels.”

Paxton said in his interview with Fox News last Sunday, “We’ve got the Biden administration, as I said, aiding and abetting the cartels, encouraging the cartels to make billions of dollars and to bring as many people here as fast as possible, and as soon as possible.”

The Texas AG slams Biden for “just not doing their job, but encouraging the opposite.”

“We’ve had enough, we’re gonna do something about it, and then they threaten us from enforcing our laws,” remarked Paxton.

His remarks come as the 15,000 migrant caravan approaches the US border, which adds up to the numbers last week that “broke records for monthly encounters”, as reported by Customs and Border Protection.

The CBP reported that there had been more than 276,000 migrant encounters just before December officially culminates.

The DOJ threatened that it would file a lawsuit against Texas if, by January 3, 2024, it continues to enforce the law to arrest people whom they believe are undocumented immigrants.

Paxton reiterated that Texas was just doing Biden’s job in securing the border yet the administration threatens the state with a legal case.

He also countered complaints aired by mayors of Democrat-led cities, such as Chicago and New York City, who accused Texas of transporting “asylum-seekers” into their cities.

For Paxton, it’s a “little ironic” that these cities only get a fraction of the “hundreds of thousands” of migrants that they are facing daily.

Instead of addressing the surge of migrants on the border, Biden’s administration and the DOJ warned Texas’ governor, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas) that the US “will pursue all appropriate legal remedies to ensure that Texas does not interfere with the functions of the federal government.”

In December, Abbott enacted a law that gives undocumented migrants the choice to leave the country or face misdemeanor charges.

Before this, Paxton had already blasted Biden and his officials concerning the migrant crisis. He quipped, “[President Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas] are creating “opportunities for the cartels to expand their network, not just in Mexico or Central America, but across our country.”

He also hits Mayorkas and called him a “pathetic leader.”

“[Mayorkas] is there to destroy our immigration system. And he mocks us every day when he lies to us and says there’s no problem, that he’s doing his job.”
