New York Attorney General Letitia James pledged in 2018 to lock up former President Donald Trump, whom she called an “illegitimate president” and an “embarrassment” during her campaign.
Five years passed, and Tish’s obsession with Trump has not faded. The prosecutor is still waging a relentless “witch hunt” against the GOP head and his family. However, the MAGA leader manages to overcome hurdles she and her fellow Democrats team set out.
In 2019, James filed several lawsuits against Trump’s administration on his immigration and environmental policies. She also inherited a lawsuit against Trump’s foundation but opted for a settlement that ended up requiring the then-president to pay a $2 million fine.
But she did not stop there, she filed another case against Trump stating that his company is deceiving banks, insurers, and others by “overvaluing assets and his net worth” on financial reports.
Unsurprisingly, leftist hardliner Judge Arthur Engoron ruled in favor of fellow democrat James.
Following the ruling, Eric Trump asserted on X that Mar-A-Lago’s assessed worth is accurate, highlighting the Palm Beach estate as worth billions of dollars, thus claiming it to be ‘the most valuable residential property in the country.
Trump’s son called Engron’s ruling “…an attempt to destroy [his] father and kick him out of New York.”
Before this, Trump’s lawyers had already argued that there was not enough evidence presented as the lawsuit was restricted by the statute of limitations.
“The decision seeks to nationalize one of the most successful corporate empires in the United States and seize control of private property all while acknowledging there is zero evidence of any default, breach, late payment or any complaint of harm,” defendant lawyer Chris Kise said after the decision.
With Letitia’s past comments against Trump and her political affiliations, Republicans have raised serious doubts about her ability to remain impartial and question her genuine intentions.
It can be recalled that “Letitia Peekaboo James” dropped out of the 2022 governor’s race due to bad poll numbers. Her charges on Trump come only two months before the voters decide whether to allow her for a second term as attorney general.
Donald Trump has long belied and condemned these attacks. In his latest post on Truth Social against James, Trump slammed the New York AG for “smirking all day long” amid the fraud trial.
He said, “You have a (Trump-Hating!) Attorney General who’s seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in damages when not a single penny was lost by these banks, and that’s part of this (Unconstitutional!) Law.”
AG James and the Judge should both be Removed Immediately and Disbarred. They are the Criminals.
Yes we Americans agree they both are crooked and should be disbarred!
Justice is not blind. It’s a weapon that has been leveraged against anyone disliked, independent of legal precedent, void of ethical conduct and certainly imperiled by its biased abuse in this case. She should be fined by the court, disbarred and at least have to do community service work for 5 years. She is a disgrace to legal profession and bordering on treason.
