Trump Discreetly Met With Elon Musk at Mar-A-Lago

Ahead of his Super Tuesday victory, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump met with a handful of wealthy donors, including the second richest man in the world, Elon Musk.

As per a New York Times report on Tuesday, Trump and his campaign team are working hard to source additional funding as he gears for the upcoming general election, a possible rematch with President Biden.

Trump had nothing but positive words for Musk and had long been looking forward to meeting the Tesla CEO, says one source who tipped the New York Times.

Despite their previous disagreements during the summer of 2022, both personalities seem to have found their common ground as Musk was recently very critical of the Biden regime’s open border policy and the influx of illegal migrants in the U.S.

Similarly, the Biden administration hounded the tech giant with various legal attacks.

A staunch fighter of the left’s “woke” agenda, Musk understands the cultural war with which the conservatives are struggling to fight.

He also blasted the left-wing diversity, equity, and inclusion training and policies. He once wrote on X, “DEI must DIE.”

Musk also reinstated several key GOP accounts, including those of President Trump, which the platform suspended in January 2021.

The possible alliance between the two most influential people in the United States, Musk and Trump, could be a powerful blow against the left.

However, Musk had already denied donating money to either Trump or Biden. On Wednesday, he wrote on X, “Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President.”

The X owner has long identified himself as politically independent. For years, he split his donations evenly between the Democrats and Republicans.

Despite this, there were also reports that Musk supported President George W. Bush’s electoral campaign and the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2007.

Despite his denial, many believe that Musk could help Trump in other forms.

With a $200 billion net worth, Musk could offset the former president, who suffers financial setbacks as he faces politically motivated charges while supporting his presidential race.

However, legal scholars are not sounding any alarm as they think Trump is a good fundraiser and won’t be running out of cash.

In February, Richard Briffault of Columbia Law School in New York told the Associated Press, “[Trump] seems to be able to raise a lot of money, so I wouldn’t really worry about the long-term impact on his campaign.”

Briffault specializes in campaign finance regulation.
