Trump Supporter Sues Mets Over ‘MAGA’ Hat Ban at Citi Field

The cancel culture endorsed by the corrupt Democratic Party goes on another level as it restricts Trump supporters even on a Major League Baseball match.

Contrary to their call for ‘inclusivity,’ the left has promoted nothing but hatred, discrimination, and more divisions, even in sports, when it should be uniting people.

Trump supporter Aura Moody filed a lawsuit against the New York Mets and Citi Field after being barred from entry for wearing a “Make America Great Again” Hat last month.

Moody seeks $2 million for political discrimination and damaging her reputation after a staff demanded her to take off her hat, revealing the double standard imposed against conservative Americans even in public venues.

The Trump fan serves as a board member of the Queens Village Republican Club; upon her entry into Citi Field with her friend last August 14 to watch a game between the Mets and Oakland Athletics, a stadium employee stopped her to inform her that their hats were “too political” and they should remove them before entering the ballpark.

Moody and her friend, to avoid escalating the situation, were forced to return to their cars to leave the hats just to be able to watch the baseball game.

However, when she was inside the stadium, she saw other audience who were white wearing the same hats but had not suffered the same attacks they had experienced.

In her complaint, she wrote, “When I finally arrived at my seat, I observed White persons wearing MAGA hats and MAGA attire.”

For Moody and her friend, the incident was not only politically motivated but, more so, racially charged. She requested to discuss the incident with a supervisor, but to her surprise, they only replied: “That’s the policy.”

She asserted that as a Black and Trump supporter, she suffered racial discrimination and “politically retaliated against.”

Meanwhile, Mets initially replied to the filing with, “A Mets employee was mistaken about our attire policy.”

“We are reaching out to Aura Moody to apologize and invite her back to the ballpark.”

In her lawsuit, the social worker and the mother of 2 acknowledged there was an effort from the team to reach out and “apologized on behalf of the New York Mets.”

The team rep also emphasized that “there is no such policy against wearing a MAGA hat, and the Staff has been retrained.”

Moody has not returned to the stadium since the politically charged event, reflecting that the entire fiasco was “embarrassing” and “heartbreaking.”

“It was humiliating. So how can I go back? It may take some time,” she said.

Meanwhile, a similar incident also occurred during a match between the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, where a State Farm Stadium staff told a fan to remove her MAGA hat before entering the venue.

In a statement, Arizona Cardinals apologized to the aggrieved individual and said that it was an “isolated incident.”

“Like most venues, ‘signage, posters, flags, or displays that are….political in nature’ are not permitted. However, that did not apply in this instance. Moving forward, we will work to provide clarity to all stadium personnel in these situations. We have also reached out to the individual involved to communicate that their experience was not consistent with our policies and practices and to apologize for that,” the team’s statement added.
