Nancy Pelosi is recently under fire for her hostile work environment and might have to do with so many Democratic representatives retiring. In a recent report by Politico, they went into depth about this work environment and how its effecting the party in general.
Politico further reported:
“Let’s face it: The atmosphere in this place — it’s a hostile work environment,” said retiring Rep. Ron Kind (D-Wis.). “We’ve got members threatening to kill other members and treating each other with such disrespect.” And he added: “Things seem to be getting worse.”
It seems with the upcoming midterms that there will be a major swing and the Democratic party is self-imploding.
Another Democratic Representative also went into detail of the frustrations involved in the party. Politco also reported:
“If you’ve been here a long time, it gets old after a while,” said Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.). “Especially with redistricting and the likelihood of us potentially losing the majority, a lot of folks … are looking at this as the high-water mark.”
