Nothing to see here.
But Joe Biden seems to be up at night when he was supposed to be in dreamland last Sunday.
The president was seen at his daughter-in-law’s house, Beau’s widow in Delaware.
Again, Biden claims there is nothing “shady” from his visit.
Hailie and Hunter dated in 2017, following Beau’s death in 2015.
Many believed that Hailie and Hunter’s relationship prompted the divorce of Kathleen and the president’s son.
According to Joe’s spokesman, Andrew Bates, he made a surprise visit to Hailie because the ninth death anniversary of his son Beau is approaching.
Coincidentally, it was also eight days before Hailie’s schedule to testify on Hunter’s illegal possession of firearms trial.
Biden dropped by Hailie’s home at around 8:00 pm and spent at least 20 minutes talking to Hunter’s ex-lover.
The White House did not provide any further details, aside from the information that the president thought of visiting Hailie before he returned to Washington D.C.
(What a thoughtful man.)
On June 3, the trial on Hunter’s federal gun charges brought by Special Counsel David Weiss will begin.
The three counts include providing false remarks and knowingly possessing a firearm while engaging in the use of illegal drugs. The case stemmed from Hunter’s purchase of a revolver in October 2018.
Hunter’s laptop exposed him blasting his then-girlfriend Hailie after she threw the revolver into a trash bin a few weeks after the purchase.
Hunter pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Aside from this, the first son will also stand trial in Los Angeles in September for his tax evasion case.
In addition to Hailie, his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle and Zoe Kestan will also testify regarding Hunter’s drug addiction during his gun trial.
The court filings did not identify these women, but they are easily recognizable based on Biden’s memoir and abandoned laptop.
The prosecution also intends to present photographs and video clips of Hunter’s alcoholism and drug addiction during the hearing.
Hunter requested to reset the trial as the defense panel claims they had difficulty looking for people to testify in favor of the first son.
However, the federal appeals court and presiding Judge Maryellen Noreika denied their motion.
Hunter’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, pleaded and argued with Judge Noreika.
He said, “People are reluctant to become involved in this case.”
“I am pleading with your honor to give me the time to do this,” he said.
But Judge Noreika maintained her stance and said, “I do not need to be your scheduling secretary.”
