Cocaine Found In Hunter Biden’s Gun Pouch, Prosecutors Revealed

An Aug. 3, 2018, photo of Hunter Biden in bed at Palms Casino Resort Vegas was found on his laptop.

In response to the first son’s attempt to have the weapons charges against him dropped, federal prosecutors revealed on Tuesday that Hunter Biden was loaded in more ways than one in October 2018.

FBI agents reexamined Hunter’s handgun five years after the now-53-year-old’s sister-in-law-turned-lover Hallie Biden disposed of it in a trash bin in front of a Delaware grocery store.

Sometime last year, agents took the sealed Colt Cobra 38SPL revolver out of a state police vault to take pictures of it. When they did so, they discovered white powder on the pouch containing the gun, according to a court document from special counsel David Weiss.

“An FBI chemist subsequently analyzed the residue and determined that it was cocaine,” the 52-page document read.

“To be clear,” the prosecution motion added, “investigators literally found drugs on the pouch where the defendant had kept his gun.”

Hunter Biden’s attorneys had filed a move to dismiss the firearms charges, and Weiss’ team was replying.

Weiss’ team slammed Biden’s motion, citing evidence to support the claim that the troublesome first son was under the influence of drugs when he completed the background check to purchase the pistol. He also denied any drug addiction, thereby committing a federal crime.

Prosecutors also brought to Hunter Biden’s 2021 memoir “Beautiful Things,” in which he “made countless incriminating statements about his years-long drug usage,” during the rebuttal.

“The defendant’s choice to sell a book containing these admissions not only made the government’s case against him stronger but also increased a potential prosecution’s general deterrence value,” Weiss’ team wrote.

Hunter Biden proceeded to write the book, according to the prosecution, once he was informed that the firearm had been found by local officials and that a federal investigation was still underway. The elderly guy had been sorting recyclables from the trash can.

Hunter Biden allegedly lied about the fact that he was addicted to crack cocaine when he bought a gun in 2018.

They also referenced communications that Hunter had sent to Hallie, who had thrown the gun away approximately 11 days after he had purchased it.

Attorney Abbe Lowell, who is leading Hunter Biden’s defense team, asserts that Weiss gave in to “political pressure” by filing the firearm charges in Delaware.

Hunter Biden was about to enter a diversion program for the felony federal firearms charge and enter a jail-free plea agreement for two misdemeanor charges of willful refusal to pay taxes this past July.

However, the agreement collapsed in a contentious court proceeding when the first son’s lawyers realized it was never intended to grant them complete protection from prosecution for further transgressions.

Attorney General Merrick Garland gave special counsel status to Weiss, the US attorney for Delaware, a month later.

After the incident, Hunter is now being charged with three felonies relating to federal firearms.

In addition, he is facing six misdemeanor and three felony counts in Los Angeles for allegedly dodging taxes totaling $1.4 million between 2016 and 2019.

On Tuesday, prosecutors sharply criticized the defense lawyers.

“He has not proven, contrary to his claim, that the Special Counsel, appointed by and working under the direction of President Biden and his Attorney General, is punishing the defendant ‘for the perceived sins of his father’ in order to capitulate to a former President because of his tweets.”

“This theory is fiction, written for a screenplay in Hollywood.”

Hunter Biden has defended himself against legal and legislative investigation by using his drug addiction and recovery efforts, he now asserts that he has attained sobriety.

He refused to testify before the GOP-led House impeachment investigation last month despite being served with a subpoena.
